    Antoine Semenyo Completes Transfer to Manchester City. Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has officially completed his transfer to Manchester City, marking a major milestone in his football career and a proud moment for Ghana.

    The move from AFC Bournemouth to the Premier League giants places Semenyo among the elite players in world football. His signing further strengthens Ghana’s representation at the highest level of European football. Antoine Semenyo Completes Transfer to Manchester City.

    This Friday the Sky Blues announced the deal which is expected to have cost an initial €72 million plus €1.7m in potential add-ons. The Ghanaian arrives having already scored 10 Premier League goals for Bournemouth this season. Numerous English top-flight teams had been linked with Semenyo but City got their man. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all held an interest in the Ghanaian international but his preference was to join Pep Guardiola’s men.     Ghanaians at home and abroad have welcomed the news with excitement, expressing confidence in Semenyo’s ability to shine at his new club.

    “We are constantly watching players all over the world. Antoine was the one we most wanted,” Viana said.

    “I am so proud to have joined Manchester City,” Semenyo said. “I watched City over the last decade under Pep Guardiola, and they have been the dominant team in the Premier League as well as achieving amazing things in the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.

    “He has shown he can perform in the Premier League. He is humble, hard-working, professional and totally focused on being a better footballer. He is ideal for us.”
